Terms and Conditions for Contendo Server Trial API

Welcome to Contendo Server, a document management and metadata storage server provided by CODENAMECODE d.o.o. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Contendo Server Trial API (“Trial API”), also known as Contendo Server Playground or Demo, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Trial API.

1. Trial API Overview

1.1 Trial Duration

The Contendo Server Trial API is offered for a period of 14 days per person from the date of activation.

1.2 Single User Restriction

The trial is available for use only by a single individual per trial period. Sharing access with multiple users is strictly prohibited.

1.3 Purpose

The Contendo Server is designed for storing and manipulating documents, their metadata, and other objects. The Trial API is provided for evaluation purposes only and must not be used for production or commercial applications.

2. Content Ownership and Restrictions

2.1 Ownership

The User must be the rightful owner of any content uploaded to the Contendo Server or must have full authorization to store and process such content.

2.2 Prohibited Content

Users are strictly forbidden from uploading, storing, or processing any of the following types of content:

  • Pornographic, obscene, or offensive material.
  • Malware, viruses, or any form of malicious software.
  • Confidential, classified, or trade secret documents.
  • Hate speech, discriminatory, or illegal content.
  • Stolen, cracked, or pirated content.
  • Copyrighted material without authorization.
  • Personal data that the user is not legally permitted to process.

CODENAMECODE reserves the right to review, monitor, and remove any content deemed inappropriate or in violation of these Terms. CODENAMECODE does not claim ownership of user-uploaded content and is not responsible for its nature or legality.

3. Data Monitoring and Retention

3.1 Usage Monitoring

The Company reserves the right to monitor all activities within the Contendo Server Trial API to ensure compliance with these Terms.

3.2 Data Retention and Deletion

All data uploaded to the Trial API will be automatically deleted after 14 days, unless the User explicitly requests an extension from CODENAMECODE. The Company is under no obligation to retain any data beyond the trial period.

3.3 Authority Requests

CODENAMECODE may provide data to authorities if requested by an authoritative institution. The Company also reserves the right to contact authorities if any violations of law are detected.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Compliance

The User agrees to use the Trial API in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms.

4.2 Security

The User is responsible for maintaining the security of their access credentials and must not share them with unauthorized parties.

4.3 Indemnification

The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CODENAMECODE, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from a violation of these Terms.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability

5.1 No Warranty

The Contendo Server Trial API is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. CODENAMECODE makes no guarantees regarding the reliability, security, or performance of the Trial API.

5.2 No Liability for Data Loss

CODENAMECODE is not responsible for any data loss that occurs during or after the trial period.

5.3 No Financial Liability

The Company shall not be liable for any financial losses or damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, resulting from the use of the Trial API.

6. Termination

6.1 Termination by CODENAMECODE

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Trial API at any time, with or without notice.

6.2 Termination by User

The User may discontinue the use of the Trial API at any time but remains bound by these Terms for any prior use.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

7.1 Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Croatia.

7.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Croatia.

8. Modifications to the Terms

8.1 Changes

CODENAMECODE reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated through our website or via email.

8.2 Continued Use

Continued use of the Trial API after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
